ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Ewin Genghis is a biological scientist who has seen the best and worst in health services throughout the world. He admires those who diligently do their best to help the sick, but he has also seen the dark side of healthcare. Now finally back in Australia, he has embarked on a series of reflective novels set in allegorical healthcare worlds.
Though not a doctor or psychologist himself, the author has a particular interest in highlighting the emotional difficulties faced by health care professionals, especially in relation to personal ethical conflicts, substandard training and supervision, the temptation to succumb to financial greed, and unethical and incompetent administrators.
As a citizen, Ewin Genghis advocates for a focus on improved professional competence in the average healthcare practitioner, removal of carer anonymity in public hospitals, and stricter exclusion criteria for practitioners who have financial wealth as their main goal in life.
